Sharona Johnson, PhD, FNP-BC, NE-C, FAANP

With over 20 years of dynamic experience in management across Academic Medical Centers, hospitals, and clinics, I have dedicated my career to advancing healthcare services and improving patient outcomes. My expertise lies in directing medical staff services for Advanced Practice Professionals, where I have successfully redesigned bylaws, streamlined credentialing processes, and enhanced peer review methodologies.

I hold a PhD in Nursing Science from East Carolina University, where I currently serve as a Research Assistant Professor. In this role, I embraced the opportunity to be preceptor development coordinator as part of a $2.7 million grant project aimed at improving healthcare access in rural communities. My commitment to bridging gaps in healthcare is matched by my passion for education; I actively present and educate for the Eastern Area Health Education Center and present professionally. I have had the opportunity to present at colleges, national organizations such as American Academy of Physician Associates Executive Leadership Conference, internationally (Healthcare for Nigeria) and locally to North Carolina Association of Medical Staff Professionals and North Carolina Association of Healthcare Risk Managers

In addition to my academic pursuits, I practice as a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner in dialysis centers, where I apply my clinical skills and knowledge to directly impact patient lives. My proficiency in clinical research, public speaking, and electronic health record systems positions me as a forward-thinking leader in the healthcare landscape.

I am eager to connect with professionals and organizations that share a vision for innovative healthcare solutions and collaborative advancements. Let’s drive change together!
